Welcome to the The MCAD 7-11!

This board is dedicated to finding and sharing inexpensive activities for Minneapolis College of Art and Design students. The "7-11" part has two meanings. One, it conveys the convenience (like the 7-11 convenience stores) of the tool -- no more searching through multiple websites for something to do! Two, it conveys how events are filtered. The board will primarily post items within 7 miles of the MCAD campus, and those items will cost the individual student $11 or less.

The MCAD 7-11 plans to post creative activities to do at home as well, just so you don't get stuck watching clips on YouTube for four hours.

Tags listed at the bottom and in the title of each post are there to help guide you to events you may be interested in. Each event will be tagged with the date, time, place, etc., as well as a category name, age limit, and other useful information.

If you have any ideas or know of an event that has not been posted on this blog, you can send them all to freeconvenience@gmail.com. The MCAD 7-11 wants to be able to provide a variety of inexpensive and fun local activities for all types of students at MCAD.

Please note - The MCAD 7-11 is not a board designed for posting "parties" off campus. Once the events are posted, the MCAD 7-11 will not update them if there are cancellations or other changes. However, links to events will be posted as much as possible to keep you informed of any changes.
